Places of Convenience

With this project I wanted to capture the places we all take for granted; the alleys we take for shortcuts, the buildings that tell us we’re almost home. All the little places which conveniently tell us where we are throughout our day. These are all based on placed in Cambridge, with so many artists capturing the beauty and dramatic architecture of Cambridge, I wanted to illustrate Cambridge from the perspective of someone who lived there. Using graphite and oil to capture the mood and atmosphere of these somewhat sacred spaces.
